There are many reasons that women our age are embracing vintage clothing. Thanks to our sponsor, Puritan’s Pride.

Some of us want to reconnect with our past.

Others want to purchase ethically produced clothing or to protect the environment.

Still others just love the way it looks!

So, today, I’d love to start a discussion about vintage clothing and share a few of my own finds.

Join us for a cup of tea (or coffee) and a chat. And, if you enjoy the show, please tell one friend about us today. Your support means so much to me!

Do you ever go shopping for vintage clothing? What are some of your favorite finds?

Please join the conversation and tell one other woman about Sixty and Me today. The more the merrier!

Here’s a link to the article that I mentioned today: http://sixtyandme.com/blast-from-the-past-how-vintage-clothing-is-experiencing-a-fashion-revival/

*****SHOW NOTES*****

If you’ve been following fashion lately, you’ve noticed that there is an 80s nostalgia phase in full swing: big shoulders, dramatic silhouettes, exaggerated ruffles, shiny and see-through fabrics… and did I mention big shoulders?

Yeah, they’re everywhere.

Fashion in every era reflects the times in which it’s created. And as much as today’s media rails against conspicuous consumption, the fashion industry seems to be enamored.

Would you like me to produce more videos about fashion for older women or vintage clothing? Let me know in the comments.
